New York Car Insurance Guideline

In New York, you are required to have several types of car insurance. Luckily, you can get a discount on your car insurance premium just for taking a driver safety class.

Read more to learn all about New York car insurance requirements, options, and programs.

Car Insurance Requirements:

New York mandates that all registered vehicles in the state carry the following:
  1. Liability car insurance.
  2. No-fault auto insurance.
  3. Uninsured motorist insurance.

Liability Insurance:

Your liability car insurance policy must have the following minimums:
  • $25,000 for injuries to one person.
  • $50,000 for injuries to multiple people.
  • $50,000 for death to one person.
  • $100,000 for death to multiple people.
  • $10,000 for property damage.
Liability car insurance only pays for accident-related damages and injuries you caused to someone else. Liability does not cover your own personal costs.

No-Fault Insurance:

New York also requires that you have no-fault coverage, which helps you with costs after an accident regardless of who was at fault.
New York basic no-fault coverage includes a limit of $50,000 per person to cover the following:
  1. Your accident-related medical expenses.
  2. 80% of lost income due to injuries from a car accident, with a limit of $2,000 per month for up to 3 years.
  3. Up to $25 a day for expenses such as household help (for up to 1 year from the date of the accident).
  4. A $2,000 death benefit on top of the $50,000 limit.
No-fault insurance will cover your medical costs after an accident before your health insurance. If your medical costs exceed your no-fault coverage limit, your health insurance will then kick in.

Uninsured Motorists Coverage:

In New York, you are also required to have uninsured motorists coverage to cover costs relating to injuries resulting from a car accident. The minimum uninsured coverage you must have for bodily injury is:
  • $25,000 for injuries to one person.
  • $50,000 for injuries to multiple people.
Uninsured drivers coverage will not cover property damage.
You also have the option of purchasing SUM (Supplementary Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists) coverage, based on the limits of your own policy, up to:
  • $250,000 per person, per accident.
  • $500,000 per accident.

Proof of Insurance:

Your car insurance company will give you insurance ID cards that can be used as your proof of insurance. When registering your car, you will need to give one of your insurance cards to the DMV. Your other card should be kept in your car.
Your car insurance company is required to electronically notify the DMV of your car insurance coverage. When you register your car, the DMV will verify your car insurance with the electronic notice and your insurance card. The DMV will not verify your proof of insurance with just your insurance card.
If a police officer pulls you over and asks for your proof of insurance, you must show your insurance card.
Your insurance carrier should provide you with new insurance cards whenever you renew your car insurance policy.

Optional Car Insurance:

You have the option of purchasing higher amounts of coverage for the required policy types: liability, no-fault, and uninsured motorist. Plus, you can purchase any of the following optional types of coverage:
  • Collision – This will cover damages to your car after an accident with another car.
  • Comprehensive – This will cover damages to your car that might happen after an incident not involving a car accident, such as vandalism.
  • Medical and funeral services.
  • Towing and labor.

NOTE: Collision and comprehensive coverages are not required by New York; however, if you have a car loan or are leasing your car, your finance company will require you to have collision and comprehensive car insurance.

Violation Fines and Penalties:

If you do not have car insurance, you must surrender your car’s license plates to the DMV immediately, or else your car’s registration and your driver’s license will be suspended indefinitely.
If you have a lapse in car insurance—for example, time between canceling your current car insurance and buying another plan—you must also surrender your car’s plates to avoid suspension of your vehicle’s registration.
Your driver’s license will also be suspended if your lapse of insurance coverage is longer than 90 days and you did not surrender your plates. To reinstate your suspended driver’s license, you will have to pay a fee of $50.

Avoiding Suspensions:

The easiest way to avoid having your car registration or driver’s license suspended when you don’t have car insurance is to surrender your vehicle plates to the DMV. However, during a lapse of car insurance coverage lasting less than 90 days, you have the option of paying a fine in place of surrendering your plates.
The cost of the fine depends on the length of the lapse in coverage. You can calculate your fine with the following:
  • $8 per day for the first 30 days.
  • $10 per day for 31 – 60 days.
  • $12 per day for 61 – 90 days.

New York Automobile Insurance Plan:

If you are having trouble finding car insurance for any reason (such as a poor driving record), you can apply for car insurance through the New York Automobile Insurance Plan (NYAIP).
Through NYAIP, you will be assigned a car insurance carrier that will provide you the minimum liability, no-fault, and uninsured coverages, with the option of purchasing higher coverage amounts.
Prices for car insurance through NYAIP are considerably higher than standard rates, so applying to NYAIP is often considered a last resort.
An insurance carrier assigned to you through NYAIP must offer you coverage for a minimum of 3 years. However, if you find an insurance company willing to sell you a car insurance policy at standard rates, you are free to cancel your NYAIP insurance.

Car Insurance Fraud in NY:

New York is one of the highest-ranked states for car insurance fraud. Because of this, New York law enforcement focuses heavily on cracking down on car insurance fraud.
Common types of insurance fraud include:
  • Staging of car accidents.
  • Falsified doctors’ reports of accident-related injuries.
  • Falsified mechanics’ reports of accident-related damages to a vehicle.

Reporting Car Insurance Fraud

Car insurance fraud costs insurance companies money, which results in higher premiums for everyone.
You can help keep New York car insurance prices down by being vigilant and reporting any suspected car insurance fraud.
You can report tips by:
  • Calling (800) 342-3736.
  • Completing and mailing a Suspected Fraud Report to:
    • New York State Department of Financial Services
      Insurance Frauds Bureau
      One State Street
      New York, NY 10004.
  • Faxing a Suspected Fraud Report to (212) 480-7148.

New York Car Insurance Discounts:

Everyone is looking for discounts on their car insurance. New York requires insurance companies to offer you car insurance discounts IF your car has:
  • Automatic seat belts or air bags.
  • A factory-installed anti-lock braking system (ABS).
  • Factory-installed daytime running lamps (DRL).

The Point and Insurance Reduction Program

In New York, you can receive a 10% discount in the base rate of your auto liability and collision insurance premiums if you take an accident prevention course through the Point and Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP).

By taking a course, you can not only qualify for a discount on your insurance premiums but may also be able to reduce up to 4 points on your driving record (if you have any).
The NY DMV offers a full list of classroom and online providers.
You will receive a certificate of completion within 45 days of completing the PIRP course.
You will need to show your certificate of completion to your car insurance carrier within 90 days of completing the course to receive your discount.
If you qualify, your insurance company must discount your insurance for 3 years.
NOTE: The discount can only be applied to one driver per vehicle.

Top Tips To Increase Your Google Adsense Earning

If your blog is well optimized for AdSense it can earn you good, and if not, then you will face the most frustrating issue of worst earnings at AdSense despite of having decent traffic. I have experienced this in early days when I was new with AdSense. After reading several articles, by following AdSense recommendations and by doing experiments, I have now optimized AdSense for my blog where its performance is good. I don’t say that I have super-optimized it, but at least have improved CTR and CPC greatly which were once the worst for me. If your AdSense ads are receiving very few clicks or if the CPC is tool low there, I have come up with some tips which will surely help you in improving your AdSense earnings by making adjustments to ads on your blog.

improve-adsense-earnings

How You can Improving AdSense Earnings

CTR:

CTR is a major factor which decides how much your blog earns. In addition to its direct impact on earnings, it has some indirect influences also which are mostly not understood by publishers. If the placement of ads on your blog isn’t good, then they will receive very few clicks and as a result, your earnings will stay low.

To improve your ads CTR, I would recommend you the below ad placement as I have found it as working best for me and will surely work for you too.

A 336×280 Image/Text Below Post Title:

The 336×280 ad unit is AdSense recommended which earns good for you. I place one 336×280 ad unit at top of the post content and wrap it with text by one side. If you are on WordPress, use Quick AdSense plugin for inserting ads or if you are on Blogger, make a div in CSS and float it either towards right or left to place it perfectly in post content. This is the first position which will perform good in increasing CTR of your AdSense ads.

A 300×250 below post:

It is the second position which performs well for me. Place a 300×250 ad unit just below post content (above comments section). When your visitors finish reading your post, the ad may attract their attention.

A Horizontal Banner at Bottom:

Bottom section of blogs and websites is the exit point for visitors and placing an ad here greatly improves AdSense CTR. When your visitors finish reading your post, they will move down to comments section. And after reading or making any comments, most likely they will be leaving your blog and the bottom ad if present mostly grabs their attention as an exit point. I have experienced it and it works great for me.

So these were the three ad positions where I have got the best results. Although you may love to place ads on sidebar, in header section or anywhere else, but all these positions never deliver me with good results, so I am not going to recommend you any of such placements.

Now lets have a look on how to improve CPC for ads.

Use High Paying Keywords in Content:

Google’s Keyword Planner Tool helps you in finding keywords and you can do a research there to find which keywords are paying the most. First think about a topic for your next post and then go to Keyword Planner. There, do a research about your chosen topic and then sort the keywords on suggested bid. In such a way, you can find high CPC keywords. Once you compile a list of some high paying relevant keywords, use these keywords wisely in your content. It will show up high paying ads which will greatly boost your AdSense CPC.

Optimize CTR:

I have mentioned earlier that CTR indirectly impacts on earnings. When your ads receive too many impressions but very few clicks, then AdSense imposes smart pricing over your account and CPC greatly falls down. So to retain a good CPC, improve CTR by placing ads perfectly like I have recommended above.

Geographic Location:

The most important factor in defining AdSense CPC is the geographical location of your visitor from where the click was originated. I haven’t mentioned it earlier as you may be running a localized blog so you may be targeting local visitors only. If you are running an international blog or website, try to bring visitors from western countries by improving SERP rankings of your content globally. It will deliver great results.

Avoid Using Link Ads:

Link ads receive too many impressions but CPC with these type of ads is the worst. They will not earn you good but yes, they can invite Google to smart price your account. So I would recommend you not to use any link ad units.

Write Lengthier Posts:

The more text content is there in your posts, the more being promoted keywords appear in your text and AdSense then shows relevant ads which earn you good. If your posts are short, then Google may fail to understand about what you have written. In such a situation, it will push in random ads which will decrease both CTR and CPC. So to achieve good CTR and CPC, you should write lengthier (keyword rich) posts.

Your Niche:

If you haven’t started your blog yet, then you should choose niche for it wisely. Some niches pay very high. But if you have already started your blog, then you might not need to consider it.
So these were some recommendations from my side to help you in improving your AdSense revenue up to the maximum possible level. I hope you will find these tips working. Don’t forget to tell us about any additional working tip if you have found as working.

Top Tips to help you in maintaining a good CPC or click through rate on your AdSense ads

Traffic is the most fundamental requirement for generating revenue from AdSense. If your blog or website receives a decent traffic, then you will surely earn good. But sometimes, blogs and websites with high traffic don’t earn good due to low CTR (Click Through Rate) and if you are among those, then keep reading this article. You will learn some best practices which will help you in increasing CTR on your AdSense ads and in turn your earnings will grow.

What Should be the Normal CTR:

A normal CTR should stay between 2% and 5%. At this CTR, your blog not only earns good, but it also stays safe. Alternatively, if your ads receive too many or few clicks, then not only the blog earnings drop, but the AdSense account may also exposed to risks. Suppose if ads on your blog receives too many impressions but don’t receive much clicks, then CTR will be very low (i.e. even below 1%) or the CTR may stay above 10% in some circumstances. Both of these conditions result in a dramatic drop of CPC and very less revenue is generated. This phenomenon is called the smart pricing. At the end of this article, we will discuss how to eliminate the smart pricing. But first, lets discuss how to increase the AdSense CTR if it is too low.

Ad Placement is Most Important in Improving CTR:

Perfect ad placement is the most important in maintaining a good CTR. Ads usually perform good when they are placed above the fold. It doesn’t mean that all ads must be placed at the top of the page. In general, CTR improves when ads are easily visible to the visitors. So if your current ad placement isn’t producing good results and you don’t have any idea what will do good, then start by placing one ad at the top of content, second near top on sidebar and the third one near bottom of the content. Ads near bottom of the content also produce brilliant results. When visitors finish reading your content and reach the bottom, then they are about to leave your blog or website and the ad may be their choice.

Although two ads above content and one near bottom perform good but it is not always necessary that this ad placement is the best placement to main a good CTR. This placement may not work for your theme or template so the best practice to improve CTR is that do experiment. Keep changing the position of ads after one or two days and note the CTR either it has improved or not. If it doesn’t again change the placement and after a few experiments, you will find the best ad placement for your blog or website.

Never Ignore Targeted Traffic:

Niche-specific blogs and websites perform good with AdSense. If your blog or website contains content related with a specific niche and the traffic is also targeted, i.e. from search engines, then  the CTR surely stays good. Niche-specific blogs contribute to a good CTR. Firstly, AdSense recognizes the niche and starts showing highly relevant ads with the content. Now if the traffic is targeted, then these ads attract the visitors and the CTR stays good.

Keep Changing Ad Position:

Yet another good practice to increase AdSense CTR is to keep switching between some good ad placements. First do experiment and find out some good ad positions which produce good CTR. Now keep switching between these ad placements periodically. When you stick to one type of placement, then repeating visitors start ignoring the ads. This is called ad blindness and the periodic change in ad placement is the best practice to overcome this.
These were three most important practices to increase AdSense CTR. Now lets discuss, how to get rid of smart pricing which we discussed at the beginning.

How to Get Rid of Smart Pricing:

This is usually caused due to very low CTR. High CTR is rarely responsible for this phenomenon. If you are a victim of smart pricing due to very high CTR, then you might have done something tricky with your ads and you must quit it. Alternatively, if your ads receive a lot of impressions and very few clicks, then you must find a good ad placement by experimenting as we discussed earlier. Once your CTR will improve and will reach at a normal stage, the CPC will also grow within a few days. i.e. smart pricing will be lifted from concerned publisher account. So the treatment to smart pricing is maintaining a normal CTR.

These were some tips to help you in maintaining a good click through rate on your AdSense ads. I hope you will find them working. If you have any suggestion, don’t forget to share with us by leaving your comment. Thank you!

Which Bank's of Pakistan's You Can Use For Get Withdraw Of Your Payoneer Master Card

I have received a lot of queries regarding withdrawing money via Payoneer MasterCard® and the users ask me about the banks in Pakistan where Payoneer or any other MasterCard® is supported. So I decided to write this post where I am listing the Pakistani banks where MasterCard® is supported at their ATMs. In addition, I’ll tell you about a method which will help you in finding any nearest MasterCard® supported ATM in your city or town. First lets have a look over the names of banks in Pakistan where MasterCard® is supported.

mastercard-supported-banks-pakistan

MasterCard® Supported Banks in Pakistan

1. Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB)

I personally use ATM of MCB in my area as other supported banks aren’t available here in Gilgit city at the time of this publish. Although Faysal bank is operating but the ATM at Faysal bank gave me “General Processing Error” so MCB stands first in my list where you can withdraw money via MasterCard® without facing any issue.

2. Standard Chartered Bank:

Standard Chartered Bank has a great banking system in Pakistan and other countries of the world and it also owns MasterCard® supporting ATMs. So if any branch of SCB is located nearer to you, you can withdraw money from there conveniently. AT ATMs of SCB, you can make large transactions too.

3. Citi Bank:

Citi Bank also owns MasterCard® supported ATMs and you can use its ATMs also if any of above mentioned banks aren’t located nearer to you. I haven’t used ATMs at Citi Bank yet but they work and are used by Payoneer users in Pakistan.

4. Faysal Bank:

Faysal Bank sits at bottom in my list as it ate up my $12 when I attempted to withdraw money through its ATM here in Gilgit. I tried three times but all the times, the ATM of Faysal Bank gave me “General Processing Error”. I failed to withdraw money but the withdrawal fee got deducted. I then used MCB’s ATM to make the transaction later.

So if Faysal bank is the only choice for you, ensure that you are at a main branch. If the transaction fails the first time, don’t try again as the withdrawal charges may deduct even on failed attempts like it happened with me.

How to Find Any Nearest MasterCard® Supported ATM?

To find a MasterCard® supported ATM near your residence, just visit MasterCard® Global ATM Locator page here and select country and city to view where the ATMs are located. You can filter the locations by ZIP code too which makes finding the ATMs easiest.

I hope now it will be easy for you to find a MasterCard® supported bank in Pakistan or any other country.

How to make Blogs Good Title?

Grabbing a readers attention is a vital aspect to composing a blog post.  Many people actually overlook this part of writing and copywriters are making a small fortune off “dressing” up post to make them more effective.

Obviously, if no one clicks on your post you mild well be writing to the air.  In terms of measuring your post effectiveness there are a number or things that come into play.  In this article I hope to show you some ways to improve your blog post.

Your Blog Post Title’s Shouldn’t Be Lame

It’s been said that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.  However, with a blog post people judge your article by its title, which is really the “cover” of your article.  For instance, if you title is lame no one will read your content which makes it a complete waste of time (unless you like writing to the error).

So how do you make your title pop?

To answer that question I will be referencing a book I read by Dan Kennedy.  For those of you that don’t know who he is; he’s a copywriter that charges 150k – 2 million per sales copy that he writes (so he knows a thing or two about writing).  While this article really isn’t about sales copies but the fundamental knowledge from sales copy still applies to blogging.

I have learned over the years what works and what doesn’t.  If you’re struggling to make your titles effective I would pick up a copy of Cosmopolitan magazine.  No, you don’t have to read it (unless you want to), but what you do need to do is take note of the titles.  They make you want to read it no matter what the article is about.

Take these headlines for example:

  1. 9 Soul-Crushing Facebook Stalking Fails Everyone Makes
  2. 6 Coworkers No One Warns You About
  3. Why My Wedding Won’t Be The Best Day Of My Life

  Google – Titles & Descriptions

The Problem Is Your Blog Titles Are Boring - Fix It Now!

So your title is the difference between a high CTR and low CTR in Google.  Obviously, if you have good content Google will reward you for it.  All to commonly, I see stuff on Google that could be improved upon.

In fact, SEO companies are making a small fortune by adjusting titles for clients, which people could easily do themselves.  I know this because I run a SEO company.

You need to make your titles with your keywords in them (closer to the beginning for optimum SEO), but make it something that invokes a thought in someone’s head.  For instance, lets take an example of the keywords “buy bearded dragons online”.

How can me make this something that someone really wants to click on?  Here are a couple of examples:

  1. “Buy Stunning Bearded Dragons – Rare Morphs & High Quality Reptiles”
  2. “Buy Bearded Dragons Online – Your Friends Will Ask Where You Got It”
  3. “Amazing Bearded Dragons – Buy The Rarest Reptiles Online”
Next, your description is one area you need to strongly consider revamping or doing correctly.  The basic idea behind this is you should make a couple sentences with your keywords in them that entices web viewers to click on your title and come to your site.  Sure “over the top” does work, but make sure you don’t make the mistake of overdoing it by stuffing your keywords into the description tab.

What I tend to do is write 10-15 descriptions and then pick the one that grabs my attention.  It might take a little time, but can drastically increase your CTR.  Remember that your description should be clear and to the point.  You get 2 sentences to write something that is descriptive and you really need to put some careful thought into it.

Sub Headings – Don’t Be Boring

The Problem Is Your Blog Titles Are Boring - Fix It Now!

Ok, so now that we know how to get people to want to read your article; now we need to utilize sub headings to make our post attractive and cater to those skimmers on the net?
It’s been said that people don’t read on the internet they skim, and if something catches their eye they’ll then take the time to read your content.  So, lets take a hypothetical article I have written on “The Penguin Update & SEO.”

How can we make “The Penguin Update & SEO” more exciting?  Something like “6 Atrocious Ways Penguin Pecked At Your Google Rankings.”  Then a subheading that says “8 Simple Fixes – Post Penguin”.  Then another subheading that says “Don’t Quit After Penguin There Is Still Hope”.  Then another subheading “Checklist For Recovering Your Rankings”.

Basically, the idea behind sub headings is your viewers should be able to tell what your blog post is about without actually reading it.  It should be 4 sentences that you can read and decide if you want to read the entire article or just specific parts of it. Here is a useful post that contains 43 powerful headline ideas.
Clearly, you can see that blog titles, sub headings, and descriptions are a key component to a blog post.  Have you found yourself just winging it with your blog post?  I would highly consider that you start doing it right or overhaul your blog post to make them more enticing to your readers.

Are there any tips that you could add to this post?  I would love to hear your comments down below!
